Faithful

Trust the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and He will make your paths straight.

PROVERBS 3:5-6

After 2 ½ years of online studies we have made the move to Southern California so that Nathan can complete his Master of Divinity at The Master’s Seminary. We created this blog back in January, to honour the Lord. Our prayer is that Christ is glorified in our lives as we commit ourselves to serving Him. By submitting to His will and trusting in His plan, we hope that others will see the incredible grace of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. We do not know what the LORD has in store for us and how the next days, months, and years will unfold, but we are excited to see how He works in our lives. Even as you read this we pray God will bless you and that you will see how marvellous and desirable it is to follow Christ. Please follow along with us here as we desire to obediently follow the Lord where He has called us.

God led Nathan to turn from his sin and turn toward Jesus Christ as his Saviour back in 2010. Nathan’s heart was dramatically changed by the very power of God found in the divine, saving truth of the Gospel (Rom 1:16; Jam 1:18) preached by John MacArthur, on a crackling radio in the middle of nowhere. As a new Christian, Nathan was nourished by the faithful expository preaching on Grace to You radio broadcasts and free books sent in the mail.  With his bible open every night, like a kid in a candy store, he quickly grew to love and understand the truth written on the pages of Holy Scripture (John 17:17). This love of the truth (2 Thess 2:10) was matched with a strong desire to explain the author’s original intended meaning to others so they might be blessed by it also, and come to know more deeply the Jesus of the Bible (Phil 3:10), not the Jesus of human invention (2 Pet 3:18). Nathan confided to Christina that he felt called to preach and desired to go to The Master’s Seminary. Our new family and life together seemed to make this an impossible dream but we began praying. Eventually, Nathan met BK Smith, a grad from TMS. A friendship was born and BK became Nathan’s mentor. Nathan travelled to Shepherd’s Conference at TMS in 2017 with BK, and he had the opportunity to met John MacArthur personally. Nathan expressed his desire and call to teach and preach God’s Word and Pastor John, without hesitation, suggested Nathan begin his studies at TMS online. So he did! On January 1st of 2020, we made the commitment to go to Los Angeles so that Nathan could complete his Master of Divinity, trusting that God would provide the means to do so. In 6 short months, the LORD provided for us in amazing ways, removing obstacles, opening doors, and, blessing us materially and financially, exactly what was needed to make the move.

If you feel led to support us with a cash donation, we are very grateful. Our commitment to our family, friends and supporters is to keep everyone up to date on our lives in Los Angeles and the progress of Nathan’s studies. We pray we will honour the Lord in the way we live and the means by which he provides for us. Contact us here or visit our fundraising page here.
